Carlos Gonzalez and Troy Tulowitzki Combine For 5 HR’s vs Reds

Colorado Rockies newsCarlos Gonzalez tied his career high with three home runs and and Troy Tulowitzki went 5-for-5 with a pair of homers and the Colorado Rockies hammered the Cincinnati Reds  at Great American Ballpark.

Gonzalez ended up going 3-for-5 with six RBI and three runs, and Tulowitzki finished with five hits, two home runs and three RBI.

Todd Helton  also hit a home run for the Rockies as Colorado had a season-high 20 hits against Cincinnati pitching.

Heading into tonight’s game Gonzalez was batting .306 with 14 home runs, 36 RBI, 46 runs and 12 stolen bases. He is now second in the National League with 17 home runs on the season and leads the league in runs.

Tulowitzki  is batting .332  with 13 home runs and 45 RBI, 33 runs and 8.611 slugging percentage
