Yankees Shut Out Braves in Interleague Play

ATLANTA – the New York Yankees used five pitchers including starter Ivan Nova pitch a five hit shutout and beat the Atlanta Braves 3-0 . The Yankees continued their hot streak and have won nine of their last 11 games. The win moved the Yankees to 10 games above 500 for the first time this season. Raul Ibanez homered for the Yankees who scored one run in each of the first three innings. Nova allowed five hits with one walk and had six strikeouts in cruising to his fourth straight win. Robinson Cano had two hits for the Yankees. The Braves did not have an extra-base hit in the game.
