ST. PETERSBURG, Fla – The Tampa Bay Rays scored two runs in the seventh inning without the benefit of a hit and held on for a five the three victory over the Boston Red Sox.
Rays starter David Price pitched into the eighth inning allowing just three runs and six hits to become the first 12 game winner in the American League.
Clay Buchholz Pitched in his first game for the Red Sox since coming off the disabled list and pitched well, taking a one run lead into the seventh inning.
After walking Hideki Matsui intentionally, Jose Lobaton, pinch hitting for José Molina walked to tie the game.
Elliot Johnson that had a sacrifice fly in the Rays took the lead 4-3.
B.J. Upton added a solo shot in the eighth inning, and Fernando Rodney pitched the ninth for his 26th save in 27 opportunities this year.
The two teams meet tomorrow in the rubber game of a three-game series.
Tampa Bay scored five runs on five hits, without the benefit of a home run.

Seattle 7 – Texas 0 For tonight the team overcame a very strong offense as Felix Hernandes pitched a three-hitter and struck out 12 against the powerful Texas Rangers.
Michael Saunders and Kyle Seager and two RBI and John Jaso homered for the M’s. Yu Darvish was hammered for seven runs in 6 1/3 innings by the Mariners.
