A verdict was reached today in the Roger Clemens perjury case that has been ongoing for almost 2 years. The jury has returned a ‘not guilty’ verdict on all six counts in the Clemens perjury trial. Clemens was indicted in 2010 on six counts of perjury, giving false statements and obstructing Congress. Clemens had told Congress in 2008 that he never used performance-enhancing drugs. Brian McNamee, the former personal trainer of Clemens testified that he had provided Clemens with steroids. Clemens has stood trial twice on these charges. Last summer a judge declared a mistrial after an error by the prosecution.
