Pablo Sandoval, Red Sox Reach Agreement on Five-Year Deal

sandovalThe Boston Red Sox and free agent third baseman Pablo Sandoval have reached and agreement on a five-year deal in the neighborhood of $100 million, according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.

The Red Sox are close to a deal with Hanley Ramirez, as well. Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reported he is on the verge of a deal with Boston and is traveling to Boston to finalize an agreement.

The Red Sox could “win” the trifecta if former ace Jon Lester returns.¬†Boston’s¬†initial offer is believed to be about $110 million to $120 million for Lester, as Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe reported.
