The Los Angeles Angels, Arizona Diamondbacks and Chicago White Sox have completed a three-way trade that will send Mark Trumbo to Arizona, centerfielder Adam Eaton to Chicago and pitchers Tyler Skaggs and Hector Santiago to Anaheim. Arizona will also be receiving two players to be named later.
Trumbo, 27, hit .234/.294/.453 (109 OPS+) with 34 home runs in 2013. He’s hit 95 homers over the last three seasons.
Eaton is a 25-year-old outfielder who batted .254/.332/.373 in 380 major-league plate appearances that will become the White Sox center-fielder.
Santiago, 25, has pitched to a 3.41 ERA, 224 2/3 innings across parts of three big-league seasons. The Angels were intent on proving their pitching situation entering the Winter Meetings and just last week expressed their intentions to do so without moving Trumbo.
