According to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports the Cincinnati Reds have reached an agreement with left-hander Manny Parra on a two-year deal worth $5.5 million. The deal calls for Parra to earn $2 million on 2014 and $3.5 million in 2015.
Parra is coming off a strong 2013 when he posted a 3.33 ERA holding left-handers to a .167/.237/.238 batting line. He was used primarily as a left handed specialist in the Reds bullpen last season but that role may be modified under new manager Bryan Price.
Parra began his career as a starter in the Milwaukee Brewers organization before moving to the bullpen in 2012
