According to Marc Topkin the Tampa Bay Rays have acquired David DeJesus from the Washington Nationals. The team claimed DeJesus on waivers on Wednesday. The deal with the Nats is for a player to be named later or cash considerations.
The Nationals acquired DeJesus on Monday in a trade with the Cubs that was essentially a straight waiver claim, and then promptly placed him on revocable waivers, a standard move and the Rays made the claim.
DeJesus, a career .279/.354/.417 hitter and a versatile outfielder. A corresponding move will come this afternoon and it is possible DeJesus could be in uniform tonight
