The Cleveland Indians completed the four-game sweep of the Chicago White Sox on Sunday, grabbing the 4-0 victory and outscoring the Sox by a combined score of 36-21.
Cleveland struck first with two runs in the fourth, coming on a Ryan Raburn RBI double to deep center, who would later come around to score on a Carlos Santana RBI single, giving the Indians an early 2-0 lead.
The Indians would follow with a another run in the fifth coming on a Lonnie Chisenhall ground out that scored Michael Brantley, and would add a fourth run in the ninth on an RBI ground rule double by Drew Stubbs.
Cleveland took both games on Friday’s doubleheader, winning game one by a score of 19-10 and game two 9-8. Less than 24 hours later, the Indians followed up with a 4-3 victory on Saturday.
With the victory on Sunday and Detroit’s loss to Tampa Bay, the Indians moved into a tie for the AL Central division lead with a 44-38 record.
