This is not exactly how the Los Angeles Dodgers season was supposed to go. After losing eight straight the Dodgers found themselves in last place in the National League West, looking for answers and more importantly a win.
Hyun-Jin Ryu allowed one run and five hits over 6 2/3 innings, and Andre Ethier collected a season-high four hits including a pair of doubles to help the Dodgers snap an eight-game losing streak with a 7-1 win over the Miami Marlins. Skip Schumaker added three RBI the Dodgers.
Ryu took a three-hit shutout into the seventh before Miguel Olivo homered For Miami. Ryu improved his record 4 after tossing 114 pitches, scattering five hits, striking out three and walking three.
Fantasy Play: Ryu returned to form and obviously loves Dodger Stadium where his ERA (2.13) is over two runs lower than it is on the road (4.68). That’s worth watching as he gets the Braves in Atlanta in his next start. Zack Greinke finished his Friday rehab start with no issues and will start Wednesday against the Washington Nationals. Dee Gordon hit is second career home run Saturday.
