Earlier today we reported that the Red Sox placed Andrew Bailey on the DL and the Joel Hanrahan would resume his closer responsibilities after recovering from a hamstring injury.
Hanrahan allowed a solo home run to the Twins Brian Dozier, blowing a one run lead and the save. Half of Hanrahan’s 20 pitches were strikes.
The Red Sox trainer came out to talk and that’s when Hanrahan left the game with an apparent injury.

Fantasy Play: While the bullpen is one of the Red Sox strengths, losing two closers in one day is hard for any team to overcome. Wait for an official announcement about Hanrahan, but start looking at Junichi Tazawa, Clay Mortensen and Koji Uehara to take care of the late innings should Hanrahan miss any time.
