Marco Scutaro Returning to the Giants – Three-year $20 Million Deal

Giants wanted Scutaro back after hitting .362/.385/.473 for the team

The San Francisco Giants won the 2012 World Series and are doing their best to keep the team together.

The Giants reached an agreement on a three-year $20 million deal with second baseman Marco Scutaro according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.

San Francisco re-signed Angel Pagan earlier this week to a four-year $40 million deal and re-signed lefthanded reliever Jeremy Affeldt.

Scutaro and  Pagan were the organization’s top two priorities entering the winter meetings in Nashville, and in two days, the Giants have secured both hitters at the top of their lineup, doling out a combined $60 million.

Scutaro is 37 years old hit .362/.385/.473 in 268 regular season plate appearances with the Giants after being traded in July from the Colorado Rockies and hit .306/.348/.405 with seven home runs and 54 RBI in 683 plate appearances this summer between the Rockies and Giants.
