PHILADELPHIA – Roy Halladay surrendered just three hits over seven innings of work to earn a 3-0 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Halladay they struck out five and needed just 94 pitches to complete his seven innings.
Erik Kratz who was sketching in place of the injured Carlos Ruiz, who before the game was placed on the DL with a foot injury hit his fourth home run of the year for the Phillies.

Aroldis Chapman worked the ninth for his 25th save. James McDonald turned in a quality start in a no-decision against the Reds. Michael McKenry went 2-for-4 with a solo homer
Miami 7 – Washington 10 – Bryce Harper and Danny Espinosa homered for the Nationals. Adam LaRoche homered twice and now has 23 home runs for Washington. Jose Reyes has now hit safely in all 23 games since the All-Star break, going 35-for-93 (.376) with four homers, eight RBI and seven stolen bases over that span
