The Colorado Rockies traded veteran infielder Marco Scutaro to the San Francisco Giants for minor league second baseman Charlie Culberson and cash.
Scutaro is hitting .271/.324/.359 and has played mostly second base for the Rockies.
He has played some shortstop, is expected to play both in San Francisco.
Scutaro was acquired by the Rockies in a deal with the Red Sox last winter.
Scutaro in owed $2.2 million for the rest of the season.
