BALTMORE – David Price pitched seven solid innings, scattering seven hits, allowing just one earned run and striking out 10 to beat the Baltimore Orioles 10-1 and become the major leagues first 14 game winner this season.
Price was leading 5-0 before he ever threw a pitch. Desmond Jennings hit the first pitch of the game for home run, Carlos Pena singled in B.J. Upton and Jeff Keppinger and the Rays were leading 3-0.
José Loboaton was hit by pitch to force in a run, and Elliot Johnson singled to left to score Pena and the Rays never looked back .
Lobaton would at his first career home run, a three run shot in the fifth inning.
