CLEVELAND – Jim Thome moved into seventh place on the all-time home run career list for home runs, with his 610th career bomb.
Thome moved past Sammy Sosa on the career list and the Orioles beat the Cleveland Indians 10-2.
Derek Lowe was ineffective for the Indians from the start. Lowe gave up nine earned runs, seven hits, five walks in three innings of work.
By contrast Miguel Gonzalez pitched into the seventh inning and gave up two runs for the Orioles.
Asdrubal Cabrera and Joel Hanrahan homered for the Indians.
