Dodgers Ace Clayton Kershaw No-Hits Rockies

Dodgers Kershaw , no-hitterLos Angeles Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw faced just 28 batters in throwing his first career no-hitter against the Colorado Rockies striking out a career-high 15 batters en route to an 8-0 win. The no hitter comes less than a month of when teammate Josh Beckett tossed an unlikely one against the Philadelpia Phillies on May 25.

It was the 22nd no hitter in franchise history, the 12th in Los Angeles.

Kershaw retired the first 18 batters in a row until a two-base throwing error by shortstop Hanley Ramirez ended his shot at a perfect game. That was the only runner allowed by Kershaw, a two-time NL Cy Young Award winner.

“I am so amazed,” Kershaw said. “Beckett told me he was going to teach me how to do that, so I have Josh to thank.”

The Dodgers backe dup the effort offensively plating town runs in the first innings and five more in the third. Miguel Rojas has a three RBI double and Adrian Gonzalez, and Matt Kemp each had two RBI.From there is Kershaw cruised through the Rockies line-up
