Rays David Price Makes First Rehab Start

Tampa Bay David PriceTampa Bay Rays ace David Price made his first rehab start is going on the DL on May 16 for the High-A  Charlotte Stone Crabs. Price worked 2 2/3 innings allowing two earned runs, one earned, and two hits.

Price  was projected to be out until mid to late June and barring a setback he should make two more rehab starts before returning to Tampa Bay’s  rotation  Before the All-Star break.

Price, 27, is 1-4 with a 5.24 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 49 strikeouts in 55 innings this season. Last season Price was 20-5 with a 2.56 ERA, 1.10 WHIOP and 205 strikeouts in 211 innings beating out Detroit Tigers ace Justin Verlander for the Al Cy Young
