Rays Add Brad Boxberger to Bullpen

Rays NewsThe Tampa Bay Rays have recalled reliever Brad Boxberger from AAA Durham according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times.  Boxberger has pitched six scoreless innings posting in four appearances for the Rays this season.

Obtained during the off-season in a January trade with San Diego thats sent lefty Alex Torres to the Padres. Boxberger had a 1.29 ERA in six spring training games with Tampa Bay, and pitched in 18 games for San Diego last year.

Boxberger has been shuffle back and forth to Durham this year.

“I would just like to keep it going, no matter how long I’m here,” Boxberger said.
