B.J Upton, who had three hits on the day, hit a three run double in the four-run sixth inning for the Rays to pad the lead to 5-0.
Jeff Keppinger made it 6-0 on a seventh-inning run-scoring double.
Matt Joyce who returned to the team this week from the disabled list, was held out of today’s game due to some soreness.
Joyce missed 23 games with a left oblique strain.

Mike Trout hit his 14th home run of the season in the sixth inning to account for the lone Angels run.
Minnesota 3 – Baltimore 4 – Mark Reynolds helped the Baltimore Orioles rally for a 4-3 win over the Minnesota Twins with a two-run single in the eighth inning. Wei-Yin Chen turned in a much-needed strong performance tossing seven innings of three-run baseball for the Orioles.
Seattle 6 – Kansas City 1 – Jesus Montero supplied the offense, driving in four runs and Felix Hernandez pitched brilliantly for eight innings allowing just one earned run in the Seattle Mariners beat the Kansas City Royals 6-1
Boston 3 – Chicago 1 – Cody Ross hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth-inning and the Red Sox shocked the Chicago White Sox 3-1. Ross was two for four in the game. Clay Buchholz pitched a solid eight innings with no decision.
