AL Recaps – Peavy Strikes Out Eight Twins – White Sox Win

Chicago White Sox NewsMINNEAPOLIS – Jake Peavy struck out eight over eight innings in the Chicago White Sox used another strong pitching performance to beat the Minnesota Twins 3-2.

Peavy allowed five hits and gave up one earned run. Alejandro De Aza  had three hits for the White Sox, scored a run and had one RBI.

He also stole his 20th base of the year.

Tampa Bay4 – Oakland  1 –  Alex Cobb goes seven strong, Carlos Pena hit his 15th home run, and Fernando Rodney records his 31st save of the year

Baltimore 5 – New York 12Robinson Cano and Curtis Granderson power the Yankees behind Phil Hughes
