Roy Halladay was torched for eight runs in just 3 2/3 innings against the Cleveland Indians in his last start. His season ERA climbed to 6.75 through six starts. Halladay got the start against the Miami Marlins today looking to improve on that outing, but it got worse.
Halladay gave up nine runs in 2 1/3 innings. He walked 4 and gave up 4 hits including a grand slam by Adeiny Hechavarria in the third inning.
His ERA is now 8.65 and over the last year his 5.59 ERA is the second-worst among starters with 150 innings thrown.
Halladay has mostly struggled all spring except for three consecutive quality starts in the middle of last month.
