New York Mets starter R.A. Dickey returned to his winning ways pitching into the eighth inning, allowing four runs, three earned, and struck out five.
Dickey did allow 10 hits in being the Nationals 9-5 . Dickey had struggled since pitching back-to-back one hitters earlier this season.
David Wright hit two home runs for the Mets, scored two runs and had five RBI.
Washington Nationals starter Gio Gonzalez was ineffective from the start allowing six earned runs on six hits in 3 1/3 innings.
Ryan Zimmerman added his 11th home run for the Nationals.
Earlier in the day, David Price became the first 13 game winner in the American League.
