Report: MLB Preparing To Discipline Rodriguez, Braun, Others In Biogensis Scandal

MLB newsAccording to ESPN’s T.J. Quinn  Major League Baseball  is preparing to suspend about 20 players connected with the Miami-based Biogenesis clinic PED’s scandal.  Alex Rodriguez and Ryan Braun head a list of up to 20 major-league players that MLB will seek to suspend.

Tony Bosch, founder Biogenesis of America Has reached an agreement with MLB officials regarding the investigation and is reportedly providing MLB with the evidence necessary to suspend the players.

Bosch will begin meeting with officials and naming names within a week and an official announcement could follow a couple of weeks after.

Suspensions could range from 50 games to 100 games depending on how MLB proceeds against certain players. The MLB  Investigation has produced records naming 20 players, but  up until now have lacked a sworn statement from Bosch. The  agreement has now been worked out.

Apparently the sticking point was Bosch  wanted assurances from MLB that would help mitigate prosecution.

MLB  is still seeking the cooperation of at least two other Bosch  associates,  Juan Carlos Nuñez and agents Seth and Sam Levinson  who were the conduit between Bosch and the players.

Players  who have been mentioned and may ultimately face discipline from MLB include, Alex Rodriguez, Rayn Braun, Melky Cabrera, Bartolo Colon, Yasmani Grandal, Nelson Cruz, Francisco Cervelli, Jesus Montero, Jhonny Peralta, Cesar Puello, Fernando Martinez, Everth Cabrera, Fautini de los Santos, Jordan Norberto.  Several players allegedly used  code names and MLB officials will request that Bosch  provide  the players real names.

This story is just developing an ongoing,  there is more to come.
