UCLA Piles On Stony Brook at College World Series

OMAHA, Neb. – Coming in as a fan favorite doesn’t always work out. the Stony Brook Seawolves came into the College World Series with lots of support and fanfare. UCLA scored five runs in the first inning and build up a 7 to 1 lead after three innings, and beat the Seawolves 9-1 . Bruins starter Adam Plutko had his third straight strong start and had more than enough run support after the first inning.  The Bruins sent 10 men to the plate in the first inning against Tyler Johnson.  The Seawolves came to the College World Series as the first Northeastern team in the series since 1986 . At the end of the day, the Seawolves were no match for the number two-ranked Bruins. Stony Brook will have to win their game Sunday in order to stay in the series.
