AL Recaps – Morales, Trout, Angels Batter Rangers Oswalt

The Los Angeles Angels, scored nine runs in the sixth inning,  Kendrys Morales homered from both sides of the plate, in the same inning,  and the Angels thumped the Texas Rangers 15-8 .

Roy Oswalt was responsible for eight earned runs as he worked into the sixth inning. morale is became the third player ever to homer from both sides of the plate in an inning.

Rookie sensation Mike Trout added his 17th home run, and starter Ervin Santana went five innings giving up three earned runs.

The Rangers are the subject of many trade rumors, and are said to be looking to add a starting pitcher. Josh Hamilton, mired in a deep slump, had three hits and home run.

Mike Napoli  and Nelson Cruz each homered for the Rangers.
