As the 2013 season transitions past the halfway mark, all 30 major league teams must prepare themselves for the summer stretch ahead and eventually the light at the end of the tunnel that is the postseason.
Leading up to the start of the season, a number of offseason deals took place as per the usual, a few involving some of the game’s most talented players took place, including the likes of 2012 NL Cy Young Award winner R.A. Dickey and 2010 AL MVP Josh Hamilton.
While some of those deals have proved beneficial for teams at this point in the season, others have not been so lucky.
Unfortunately, luck is not always on the side of big league clubs, as has been witnessed throughout the season.
The following is an assessment of the Top 10 offseason deals that have been unsuccessful and can be labeled as “bust” deals up to this point in the season.
