Colorado Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez was forced to leave the game after being hit with a foul ball in the lower left leg off the bat of Jordan Pacheco while he was on deck. Gonzalez laid writhing in pain and was attended to by a team trainer.
He was able to walk off under his own power after walking around the front of the Colorado dugout. He was replaced by Tyler Colvin who played left field
Gonzalez is hitting .299 this year and leads the Rockies with 18 home runs and 52 RBI. Gonzalez has been battling soreness in his left knee for the past week. We will provide an update as soon as it is available.
