Los Angeles Dodgers rookie outfielder Yasiel Puig electrified the Dodger Stadium crowd blasting his first major league home run, an estimated 439 foot bomb to left-center field. It was a three-run shot that tied the game 5-5. Puig had doubled in his first at-bat, then added his second major league home run with a two run shot in the bottom of the sixth to right field to put the Dodgers up 9-6.
Puig was called up yesterday from Double-A Chattanooga where he it .313 with eight home runs, 37 runs batted in and 13 steals in 40 games and played in his first major league game last night .

With Matt Kemp and Carl Crawford both on the DL it’s looking like Puig my be in Los Angeles for a while.
