Block director sells shares under trading plan

What happened

Anthony Mathew Eisen, a director of Block, Inc. (NYSE: XYZ), sold 18,000 shares from 09/24/2026 to 09/28/2026.

The filing breaks that into three 6,000-share sales on 09/24/2026, 09/25/2026 and 09/28/2026. The reported prices were $74.58, $76.9 and $75.2 per share, and the filing says the total was about $1.36 million.

After the first sale he held 1,356,672 shares, after the second 1,350,672, and after the third 1,344,672. The form says the shares were direct holdings, so each sale cut his reported ownership.

It also says the trades were made under a Rule 10b5-1 trading plan adopted on March 2, 2026.

Why it matters

This is an insider-activity update, not an operating report, so it does not change Block's business results by itself.

The 18,000 shares were about 1.3% of the holding before the trade, and Eisen still held 1,344,672 shares after the last sale.

The Rule 10b5-1 plan matters because it means the sales were set up in advance rather than reflecting a new view of the company.

Block works if its Square seller network and Cash App consumer network keep expanding gross profit while management sustains the recent shift from growth spending to GAAP operating leverage.

This filing does not change that case because it shows a director's planned sale, not a business result.

Investors can keep the ownership record in view when they read future filings, but they should not read more into the sale than the form supports.

What's next

The filing already records sales on 09/24/2026, 09/25/2026 and 09/28/2026. The next quarterly report will be the cleaner test of whether Block's gross profit and operating leverage are still moving as the case expects.

If those trends hold, the case is stronger. If they fade, it weakens.

For now, the form is only a snapshot of ownership, not a signal about sales or profit trends.
