Why it matters
The seat goes to a finance specialist, which speaks to the funding side of the investment question. Ravid was chief executive of Sadot Group Inc. (Nasdaq: SDOT) from June 2025 to August 2026.
The press release says that at Sadot he converted more than $5 million of merchant cash advances and other liabilities into equity. It says he raised approximately $10 million in several financing tranches and secured a $100 million equity line of credit.
From 2006 to 2022, Ravid was chief executive of Cukierman Company Investment House Ltd. The release says he directed strategy, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and financial transactions totaling approximately $5 billion.
CEO Aitan Zacharin said Ravid's experience securing financing will be valuable as Core AI carries out its long-term growth strategy.
OptimistFi has argued that CHAI works only if 2025's revenue surge proves to be repeatable, profitable demand rather than negative-gross-margin volume financed by scarce cash. Ravid's record is in raising capital and restructuring, so the appointment leaves that case unchanged.

What's next
Ravid serves until Core AI's next annual general meeting of shareholders or until a successor is duly elected or appointed.
The investment case turns on revenue and margin figures in Core AI's future reports, not on board changes. Positive gross margin on repeat demand would strengthen it. More volume funded by scarce cash would weaken it.
