The Los Angeles Dodgers reached an agreement with veteran infielder-outfielder Chone Figgins on a minor league deal that includes and invite to major league camp this spring.
Figgins is trying to resurrect his career after three dreadful season in Seattle , where he signed four-year, guaranteed $36 million deal. Figgins, 35 last played in 2012, in 66 games with the Mariners where he had a .181/.262/.272 line.
He was in Marlins camp last spring. 2013, but was released. Last week Figgins held a open tryout if front of interested scouts from 10 teams including the Dodgers.
Figgins will compete with Dee Gordon, Alexander Guerrero and Justin Sellers for a reserve infield role.
