Rays Chris Archer Leaves Start With Forearm Tightness

Archer allowed a run in the first and got two outs in the second before leaving with a 2-1 count against Didi Gregorius.

Catcher Jose Molina went out to the mound after the pitch and signaled to the Rays staff.

After a brief discussion with trainer Ron Porterfield and Rays skipper Joe Maddon Archer left the game and was replaced by Alex Torres.

Archer was the AL pitcher of the month in July after going 4-0 with a 0.73 ERA in five starts
