Paul Goldschmidt was again a one-man wrecking crew against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Goldschmidt hit two home runs, one off Clayton Kershaw in the sixth inning, two-run shot and then one against Kenley Jansen in the eighth that gave Arizona the lead. Overall he has posted a .320/.413/.592 slash line with nine home runs and 30 RBI.
“You got to go up there and have good at-bats. He (Kershaw) really doesn’t make many mistakes. He mixes it up. It’s not a guy you’re going to get a lot of hits off of.”
Goldschmidt is batting .458 with four homers and 11 RBIs in six games against the Dodgers so far this season.
Fantasy Play: Not much to say here except enjoy the ride. Goldschmidt has emerged as an elite first-base option. Tt’s doubtful that you’ll find anyone willing to trade them away, unless you are willing to pay big
