Houston 3 – New York 1 – Jordan Lyles pitched six innings allowing one earned run, and striking out four, Tyler Greene homered and Lyles knocked in a run with his first career double and the Mets beat the Astros 3-1. the two teams shared the worst record since the All-Star break in the National League.
The Mets have now lost six straight games in nine of their last 11.

Colorado 3 – Chicago 5 – The Chicago Cubs scored three times in the eighth inning and beat the Colorado Rockies 5-3. Alfonso Soriano hit his 23rd home run of the season and Jeff Samardzija allowed three runs, two earned,in seven innings of work, but got a no decision.
Milwaukee 6 – Pittsburgh 5 – Mike Fiers pitched into the seventh inning allowing three runs on five hits with a career-high 10 strikeouts and the Brewers held on to beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 6-5. Aramis Ramirez had a go-ahead three-run double in the seventh. Aramis Ramirez had two hits and two runs scored with three RBI for the Brewers. Wandy Rodriguez pitched 6 2/3 innings, allowing three runs with three strikeouts and four walks, but got the loss for Pittsburgh. Andrew McCutchen drove in two runs for the Pirates.
Washington 2 – Philadelphia 4 – Kyle Kendrick fixed into the seventh inning, and Jimmy Rollins had two RBI to lead the Phillies over the Washington Nationals 4-2. Jonathan Papelbon earned his 28th save of the season. Chase Utley had an RBI and a run scored with a base hit and Ryan Howard added two more hits for Philadelphia. Bryce Harper collected two of Washington’s six hits. Michael Morse homered for the Nationals
Atlanta – San Francisco – Angel Pagan went 4-for-5 with a triple, a double and two runs scored. Freddie Freeman hit a pair of solo homers for the Braves
Miami – Los Angeles – Andre Ethier went 4-for-4 with a homer and four RBI . Nathan Eovaldi allowed 6 runs is 3 innings. Giancarlo Stanton and Jose Reyes hit home runs for the Marlins. Hanley Ramirez, and Juan Rivera homered for the Dodgers
San Diego – Arizona – Eric Stults pitched seven scoreless innings and knocked in three runs
