Stephen Strasburg struck out 10 and allowed one run in six innings to record his 15th win of the season over the Atlanta Braves 4-1. Drew Storen, Sean Burnett and Tyler Clippard each pitched a scoreless inning for Washington.Ian Desmond hit his 19th home run of the season.

Charlie Blackmon went 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base for Colorado. Ruben Tejada had two hits and a run scored for New York. Chris Young had nine strikeouts over seven innings in a losing cause.

Chicago 2 – Milwaukee 5 – Jonathan Lucroy had two RBI for Milwaukee and the Brewers beat the Cubs 5-0 . The two teams combined for seven hits total. Alfonso Soriano and Starlin Castro had RBIs in the ninth inning for Chicago
Houston 0 – St. Louis 7 – Adam Wainwright pitched a complete game shutout with 12 strikeouts and walking just one batter to beat the Houston Astros 7-0 . Jon Jay had three hits for the Cardinals. Skip Schumaker and Yadier Molina had two RBI each for St. Louis. It was the 12th victory of the season for Wainwright who completed the gem with 105 pitches
Miami 6 – Arizona 5 – Giancarlo Stanton was a hero again and delivered a go-ahead single in the top of the 10th inning. Donovan Solano went 3-for-3 with two RBI and a walk for Miami
Pittsburgh 5 – San Diego 7 – Chase Headley hit a walkoff homer in the bottom of the 10th and the Padres best the Pirates 7-5. Cameron Maybin went 4-for-4 with a walk and a steal for San Diego. Garrett Jones went 3-for-4 and hit a game-tying two-run homer. A.J. Burnett allowed four runs allowed four runs on 12 hits for the Pirates.
San Francisco 4 – Los Angeles 1 – Tim Lincecum pitched into the sixth inning and allowed one run to beat the Dodgers. Joe Blanton surrendered four runs in 5 2/3 innings
