Andrew McCutchen added a two-run single later in the inning. The game took six hours and 7 min. to complete. Jeff Karstens pitched seven effective innings for Pittsburgh. Jaime Garcia pitched eight innings for St. Louis, however the starters were long gone when this game ended.

Philadelphia 8 – Milwaukee 0 – Domonic Brown went 3-for-4 with a double and four RBI to backup Kyle Kendrick the scattered three hits across eight scoreless innings.
Miami 2 – Colorado 3 – Josh Johnson pitched seven innings, allowing three runs on seven hits while striking out four and walking four for the Marlins. John Buck hit a solo home run for Miami. ordan Pacheco went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer for Colorado.
San Francisco 1 – San Diego 7 – Clayton Richard held the Giants to just one unearned run on five hits in eight innings. Cameron Maybin went 4-for-5 with three RBI for San Diego. Ryan Vogelsong allowed three runs on eight hits in three innings of work
