The Toronto Blue Jays traded outfielder Travis Snider to the Pittsburgh Pirates for RHP Brad Lincoln.
Lincoln has 2.73 ERA with Pirates over 59.1 innings, and has a 4-2 record. Lincoln has worked out of the bullpen this year has been a very effective late inning reliever for the Pirates.
Snider has struggled at the plate and spent some time on the DL this year. Snider is hitting 235/.270/.559 so far this year.
A change of leagues and scenery may do Snider some good, who has been largely a disappointment in Toronto to this point. PNC Park may be just what he needs.
