NL Recaps – Anthony Rizzo and Cubs Walk-Off In Victory over Cards

Chicago Cubs NewsCHICAGO –  Anthony Rizzo hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the 10th inning, and the Chicago Cubs beat the St. Louis Cardinals 4-2. Rizzo was understandably excited after the game.

“This is the best,” an elated Rizzo said. “This is something I’ve always dreamed of doing since I was a little kid. I’ve never done it before.

Not in the minors, not in little league, not ever.”This is awesome.” Adam Wainwright of the Cardinals and Paul Maholm  of the Cubs were locked in a classic pitchers duel for most of the day.

Starlin Castro led off the 10th inning with a base hit, and Rizzo came up to bat and hit his seventh home run of the year, and his first career walkoff home run
