ARLINGTON – The Texas Rangers reminded the Boston Red Sox and starter Felix Doubront how powerful the Ranger offense can be on a given night as the Rangers beat the Red Sox 9-1 .
Doubront who was seeking his 11th victory of the year pitched into the sixth inning, but surrendered six earned runs and eight hits, while walking three.
Doubront through 111 pitches on the evening. Mike DiNapoli hit his 15th home run in the sixth inning for the Rangers.
Jarrod Saltalamacchia hit his 19th home run of the year in the second inning to provide the lone Red Sox run.
