When Ryan Braun left last night’s game with a strained groin, you knew he was likely to get some time off.
As it turns out, Braun is not playing today against the Cardinals and the Brewers have a scheduled off day on Thursday.
Braun will have an opportunity to get two days off and rest.
Brewers manager Ron Roenicke referred to the issue as, “not serious at all,” and Braun concurred.
The injury has been lingering all season according to Braun. “I’ve had it all year, off and on,” Braun said. “I try to manage as best I can.
I think the issue is always when you get to the point you feel like you can make it a lot worse. If someone hit a fly ball to left field, I didn’t feel like I could sprint. That’s never a good feeling.”
Consider him day-to-day, for now.
