Orioles Reach Agreement With Suk-Min Yoon, Pending Physical

Orioles NewsThe Baltimore Orioles have reached an agreement with South Korean pitcher Suk-min Yoon, pending a physical, on a three-year deal worth $5.75 million. With the Orioles passing a physical in not a rubber stamp proposition.

The Orioles’ offseason have reached agreements with two players this offseason, with reliever Grant Balfour and outfielder Tyler Colvin that were voided following physicals. The organization intends to make sure everything is squared up with Yoon before it announces the deal.

He went 3-6 with a 4.00 ERA and seven saves last season. His best pro season in South Korea was in 2011, when he went 17-5 with a 2.45 ERA. Yoon worked out for the Orioles late last month in Southern California, and the club has been in touch with his agent, Scott Boras.

Pitchers and catchers report to Sarasota, Fla., on Thursday and their first official workout is Friday.
