Texas Rangers Colby Lewis Heads back to the DL

Texas rangers NewsColby Lewis of the Texas Rangers is headed back to the disabled list with right forearm tendinitis. Lewis had just returned from the DL with the same injury.

Lewis made one start and took a no decision in a 4-3 loss to the Oakland A’s. The Rangers recalled LHP Martin Perez to take his spot in the rotation. Perez will start tomorrow.

With the trading deadline approaching July 31, the Rangers will look to add depth to their starting rotation through a trade.

Rangers options for starting pitching include, Josh Johnson and Anabel Sanchez of the Miami Marlins.

You can add Zack GreinkeCole HamelsMatt Garza, and Francisco Liriano  to the mix as well.

Ryan Dempster may or may not be available, as a trade was announced today that is awaiting Dempster’s approval.

Earlier as we reported, the Rangers announce Scott Feldman would pitch in Roy Oswalt‘s spot for Monday night’s game.
