Toronto 6 Tampa Bay 4  The Toronto Blue Jays victimized the suddenly slumping pitching staff of the Tampa Bay Rays  to come back and  beat Tampa Bay 4-1.  Toronto scored five runs in the last three innings  with a two run homer by Colby Rasmus, a Jose Bautista RBI double and a  RBI double by Melky Cabrera. Blue Jays pitcher J.A. Happ was responsive after being hit in the head by a line drive off the bat of Desmond Jennings and carted off the field

Baltimore 4 Kansas City 3 Matt Wieters drove in three runs to lead the Orioles to a 4-3 win over the Royals.

Cleveland 1 Oakland 0 Zach McAllister and two relievers combined on a shutout  and Cleveland beat the Oakland A’s 1-0.

Minnesota 6 Boston 1 Scott Diamond allowed three hits in seven shutout innings, Ryan Doumit hit his first homer of the season and the Twins beat the Red Sox 6-1.  David Ortiz extended his hitting streak to 27 games in the loss.

Houston 7 Los Angeles 6 Chris Carter hit a three-run home run off C.J. Wilson to help the Astros to a 7-6 win over the Angels. Jose Altuve also homered for Houston. Wilson allowed seven runs — two earned — and seven hits and tied a career high with 12 strikeouts.
