Pablo Sandoval, Red Sox Reach Agreement on Five-Year Deal

sandovalThe Boston Red Sox and free agent third baseman Pablo Sandoval have reached and agreement on a five-year deal in the neighborhood of $100 million, according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.

The Red Sox are close to a deal with Hanley Ramirez, as well. Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reported he is on the verge of a deal with Boston and is traveling to Boston to finalize an agreement.

The Red Sox could “win” the trifecta if former ace Jon Lester returns. Boston’s initial offer is believed to be about $110 million to $120 million for Lester, as Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe reported.
