MLB: Top 10 Rookie Performers in 2013 (So Far)

Rookies 2013The All-Star Game has come and gone, the July trade deadline will pass on by in less than two weeks, and all 30 major league clubs are gearing for the summer stretch ahead and potential postseason runs.

On Tuesday, we witnessed a 3-0 shutout of the National League by the American League in the 84th midsummer classic at Citi Field in New York.

While the American League All-Stars outperformed the National League on Tuesday, the opposite can be said of this year’s rookie class.

The National League has showcased a bevy of impressive rookie performers this season, both on the mound and at the plate. As for the American League, the crop of rookie talent has been less than impressive compared to that of the National League (only two rookies from the American League are featured in this Top 10 list).

The following is a list of the Top 10 rookie performers in 2013, as determined by performance and talents displayed thus far through the first three months of the season.
