Royals News: Wade Davis to Miss Start With Sore Shoulder

Baseball newsIt certainly isn’t time to panic, but Wade Davis acquired from the Tampa Bay Rays  this winter along with James Shields will skip his next start due to a sore shoulder. Davis  It is attempting to move back to the starting rotation. He went 3-0 with a 2.43 ERA in 54 relief appearances for Tampa Bay last season.

Davis has  Pitched five scoreless innings across two starts so far this spring.Davis was 25-22 with a 4.22 ERA as a starter from 2009-11.  Dead arms and tired shoulders are common at this time of year,  but the situation is worth watching.  The news was first reported by Bob Dutton of the Kansas City Star

Royals News: The team reassigned LHP Ryan Verdugo, C Julio Rodriguez and RHP Sugar Ray Marimon to minor league camp and also optioned LHP Noel Arguelles from Double-A Northwest Arkansas.
