Trevor Bauer Will Make Another Spot Start For Cleveland

Cleveland Indians NewsCleveland Indians  prospect Trevor Bauer will start game two of  a doubleheader  with the New York Yankees. Vidal Nuno will  start for New York.

Bauer was effectively wild in his last outing against the Philadelphia Phillies allowing one  hit over five innings, but walking six. Bauer has limited batters to a .097 average and has walked 13 over 10 innings in 2013.

On Tuesday night he came within one out of pitching a no-hitter for  AAA  Charlotte against Columbus.  again was part of a doubleheader and minor-league doubleheaders are only seven innings long but he was removed by his manager Chris Tremie, even though Bauer was still working on a no-hitter.

Bauer had walked four batters, hit four batters and had thrown 107 pitches.

Cleveland Indians Fantasy Notes: Taking a  flyer on Bauer is a bit of a risk based on his propensity for walks.   He will be optioned back to Triple-A after the game.

The Indians optioned 3B Lonnie Chisenhall to Triple-A Columbus. He opened  the season as the Indians starting third baseman and hit .213/.253/.351 with 22 strikeouts over his first 99 plate appearances.
