Indians Hit Seven Home Runs, Rout Halladay and Phillies

Indians NewsThe Cleveland Indians hit seven home runs to power their way over Roy Halladay and the Philadelphia Phillies 14-2. . Carlos SantanaMark Reynolds and Lonnie Chisenhall homered off Halladay, then Ryan Raburn and Michael Brantley homered off Chad Durbin.  Cleveland has outscored its opponents 33-5 over the last three games, all wins. Raburn hit  Two home runs for the second straight game.

Halladay gave up eight runs and nine hits in 3 2/3 innings. Delmon Young,  activated before the game from the DL homered in his first at-bat for Philadelphia.  Chase Utley added his fifth home run in the sixth inning to account for Philadelphia’s second run. Ryan Howard extended his hitting streak to 11 games for the Phillies with a sixth-inning double.

The two teams wrap up their two-game series tomorrow when the Phillies send Cliff Lee to the mound to face rookie right-hander Trevor Bauer who will be called up from AAA Columbus.
