Will Middlebrooks Back From Run in With Ross

Red Sox NewsWill Middlebrooks, the third base middle-of-the-order bat for the Boston Red Sox, was removed in the seventh inning of Tuesday’s game after colliding with backup catcher, David Ross.

Middlebrooks, who has developed a reputation for being injury prone in his young career, stayed in the game immediately after the collision (Ross left immediately) in the fifth inning, but eventually came out two innings later in exchange for Pedrio Ciriaco.

After a day off Middlebrooks was 1-for-4 while hitting seventh in the Red Sox 5-3 loss to the Twins.Ross was hitless in 3 at bats. Middlebrooks is hitting .194/.229/.379 with six home rums and 12 BI

Fantasy Play: It’s too early to draw any conclusions on Middlebrooks’ situation since it’s just being diagnosed as the always unhelpful “side  pain”. Middlebrooks is a Keeper when he’s healthy and not chasing balls out of the zone, but it’s beneficial to be cautious with his playing status going forward  at the very least.
